Short Stories
For the past four years, I’ve shared my journey of becoming a teacher, traveling the world, graduating college, and navigating adulthood. I found my voice through written blog posts, shining light on teachers’ formative experiences. As I explored my identity as an emerging teacher and an emerging writer, I began to push the limits of my writing style previously contained to a blog layout. My life has changed so much over the past year, and therefore, writing has transformed into a liberating platform for creative expression and reflection.
These three stories explore my feelings and memories surrounding relationships in my childhood and young adulthood. They assess themes of nostalgia, the fluidity of relationships, and the magic of reconnecting with childhood mentors.
